Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)

About the Program

The DBA program is designed for experienced professionals. It gives the opportunity to carry out in-depth research that will have true impact – either on the participant’s own organization or for business education and industry knowledge more broadly.

DBA Track Options

Future Studies and Forecasting
This track features several renowned NBS and international faculty who coach participants in the art of future studies and forecasting within their organizations. Track participants are trained to act at the cutting edge of knowledge creation in future studies and forecasting methods, and are mentored closely by faculty to prepare for roles as leading consultants and executive specialists in the field.
Organizational Leadership
This track trains students to become experts in organizational behavior and team dynamics. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and research skills required to influence organizational culture and to plan and implement changes to organizational structure in a consulting or executive leadership role.
Strategic Management
This track offers students the opportunity to work with faculty and mentors skilled at re- defining the strategic orientation of an enterprise. Graduates are equipped for specialized consulting and leadership roles, as well as to become thought leaders in the area strategic management and organizational change.

Program Details

  • Language of Instruction – English
  • Program format – 7 modules (12 months) – 3-day intensive classes once a month with additional tasks and materials for study outside the classroom
  • Program Duration – 3 years
  • International Module – Graduates receive a certificate from a foreign university for their residential session at one of several NBS partner institutions
  • Internship, Business Project (24 months)

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in any subject and 5+ years management experience
  • Entrance exam
  • Interview

Required Documents for Enrollment

  • Notarized copy of bachelor’s and master’s degrees diploma and transcript
  • A copy of a student’s workbook, certified by place of work (only for applicants from Kazakhstan)
  • Copies of ID and passport
  • Four 3×4 cm photos
  • Medical certificate (form 086-U)
  • Personal statement
  • 2 letters of recommendation
